Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel? Yes, and so should you, if they are individually packaged and you have opened and used some in the bottle. They will otherwise get thrown away half-full!
Do you like to use post-it notes? Yes! The bolder the color, the better. But am I the only one who feels they don’t stick that well anymore?
Would you rather be attacked by a big bear or a swarm of a bees? A swarm of bees, for sure.
Do you have freckles? Yes when I’m in the sun!
What is your biggest pet peeve? I have many, but they are due to my own personality than other people. I am impatient, get frustrated easily and get annoyed by random things and people (but would never show that).
Do you ever count your steps when you walk? Yes, and I have no idea why.
Whats your favorite movie? Breakfast at Tiffany’s, the Aristocats, Shawshank Redemption, Up.
Where would you bury hidden treasure if you had some? In my parent’s back yard! Though now that I’ve written it down I probably have to come up with a new spot, just in case I’d come across a treasure I’d like to bury.
What do you drink with dinner? Usually water. My luxuries are a glass of wine or apple juice mixed with sparkling water. At work I have this weird habit of mixing soda water with still water, 50/50. Best of both worlds!
What is your favorite food? There are many! Probably sushi or a great salad or a pasta. I am extremely non-picky.
Were you ever a boy/girl scout? No.
When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone on paper? Due to my line of work, I write quite many of notes and cards, on paper, by hand. 🙂 I also love sending and getting letters. I have a goal for next year to buy beautiful note paper and start writing more thank you-notes.
Can you change the oil on a car? Nope, but I can change the windshield wipers and put air in the tires.
Ever ran out of gas? No, I’m the kind of person who fills the tank when there’s 1/4 left. I just can’t take the suspense! Doesn’t that make me a pessimist if you consider the analogy of half-full or half-empty water glasses?
Favorite kind of sandwich? This is a difficult one! I love a good mozzarella and tomato, or tuna sandwich. Or avocado.
Best thing to eat for breakfast? French toast or Eggs Benedict and a fresh juice.
What is your usual bedtime? Anything between 9 pm and 10.30 pm. I’m a grandma!
How many languages can you speak? Two – Finnish and English. I can try a little Swedish but my spoken French is unfortunately almost gone.
Do you have any magazine subscriptions? Nope, I’m cheap that way. I only buy magazines when they’re Glamour UK, or on special offer or for the plane.
Are you stubborn? Not really. I’m more of a people-pleaser who hates conflict.
Are you afraid of heights? Depends on the building, but usually I don’t feel scared but feel nauseous and dizzy instead. When we lived on the 72nd floor in Dubai, I had motion sickness for the first two days there (it was probably all in my head). The glass-floored bridges in China would be my worst nightmare, though.
Do you sing in the car? YES! Why do I never see everyone else do it if everyone supposedly does it?
Occupations you wanted to be when you were a kid? A vet, a mounted police officer or a hotel manager.
Can you curl your tongue? Yes, from the sides toward the center. That’s the only trick in my book, unfortunately.
Ever won a spelling bee? We didn’t have them in school, but I consider myself a pretty good speller regardless!
Tea or coffee? Both, and pretty much anything goes. Peppermint tea with milk, a cappuccino, iced latte, flat white or black coffee – I’m not picky. At the moment I’m having a real peppermint tea season.
Can you hold your breath without holding your nose? If I’m under water, no. I swim so little that I’d need to practice again!
Are you patient? No. And that’s probably one of my biggest challenges in self-development. I’ve gotten better at it, but still wouldn’t call myself patient.
Can you knit or crochet? Yes, but nothing too difficult. In elementary school we were supposed to knit a pair of woolly socks, but I only ever finished one because I got frustrated and impatient (see previous question!).
